Peruvian
Mission Team to U.S. 2004
Veronica is a nurse technician who is quiet
and sure of what needs to be done. She attends the sick, acquires medicines
for the needy and intervenes before the medical community on behalf of the
poor. Veronica coordinates the activities of all the medical mission teams
that come to Piura. Her two brothers, Martin and Manuel, also work in the
parish as carpenters and Manuel was a missionary to the U.S. last year. Her
brothers are married and Veronica Garay is single and lives in the village
of La Legua.
Edith is the parish secretary and next to Fr.
Joe the most important person in making the parish run the way the Lord
wants it to. In fact, each day she tells Fr. Joe what he needs to do.
Funerals, Weddings, Baptisms, Mass intentions, meetings and appointments,
bills to pay and well, just about everything is arranged by Edith. And she
does this with a winning smile that bespeaks her contemplative nature. She
has 8 brothers and sisters. 3 are married, 4, yes four, are religious
sisters of Immaculate Mary working with homeless pregnant youth and Edith
Lopez and her little brother are single and living with their parents in the
village of San Jacinto.
Ginet is well known for her loud laughter which
reveals a person happy to be doing the Lord's work among the poor. As the
unassuming director of Social Ministries she coordinates the Family to
Family Program, daily needs and cloth distribution, the breakfast kitchens
for over 1400 children, food for the elderly, special programs like School
supplies, Christmas gifts and Mother's Day packages, and a good deal of
listening and counseling for the many who seek her out each day. She lives
just around the corner from the parish, has 3 sisters, a brother, a niece
and nephew and 9 new born puppies from the parish boxers Beni and Bella.
Ginet Ambulay is single.
Thank you for all that you do in this beautiful
work that we hope is entirely pleasing to, directed by and empowered by the
Lord Jesus...for His Glory and for the salvation and sanctification of all.
