Family to Family Program

The Family to Family Program was started in 1999, with only 25 families, but this amount has grown exponentially thanks to your prayers, Father Jose Guillermo and our Padrinos (Sponsor Families).

Now there are 1404 families from different villages and neighborhoods, which have been adopted by sponsor families (mostly in The United States). These families receive help in:

Each month, the 1404 Families that belong to this program receive a packet of basic items (Rice, Milk, Pasta, Oil, Vegetables, Soups, etc) valuing $25.00USD. We purchase and delivered these groceries to their houses.

Please click "Family to Family Program" above for more information on how you can become involved.

Support to the Children - Girls Home and Orphanage

Two programs in Piura are benefited. The Santa Rosa Home is an orphanage for boys (birth - 5 yrs) and girls (birth - 18 yrs). The Madre del Redentor Home is a girls home where girls live until they are 18.  Some girls at Madre el Redentor have families but their families send them to Madre del Redentor for better opportunities and an education that they would not be able to get otherwise. Both homes receive supplies and donations to improve the children's education and standard of living.  Both homes are very appreciative of the support and greatly enjoy missionaries visits where they perform songs and dance and give them a tour of their home.

Support to Schools

The Maria Aguedas Schools of Maria Arguedas village and the San Jacinto School of the same village receive help with daily food (bread and oats) and school supplies.  School begins in March in Piura.

Scholarships of Studies

We have set up some scholarships for children to study in private school, trade schools, technical schools and universities.  For students to be accepted to a university, they must take a placement exams which cost $102USD.  Santisimo Sacramento has also provided aid to students who are taking their placement exam but can't afford the fee.  In 2008, Santisimo Sacramento has help 58 students pay for their tuition.  Please click HERE to find out how to make educational donations.

Work for the Family

Santisimo Sacramento also provides work opportunities for the poor.  There are 14 Padrinos who have sponsored annual employment for someone in need.  They will work for the church delivering food packets, cleaning the church, construction, or more, depending on their talents.   Sometimes the Parish is also able to provide work for a few days for those in need.

Grandparent to Grandparent Program.

Starting in 2005, with 10 Grandparents, our Grandparent to Grandparent Program has grown to care for 53 grandparents. A Peruvian Grandparent can be adopted for US$ 10.00 monthly.  Adopted grandparents will receive a monthly basket of basic items (some food, possibly new sheets or hygiene products). They also receive visit from one of our nurses for a better care of their heath.

As well, a full container with many things such as clothes, school uniforms and supplies, shoes, tupperware, kitchen utensils, medical tools, furniture, fabrics and toys are sent to the Peruvian families by the American families .

There are many Peruvian families that need to be adopted in the Family to Family Program.

Please help us serve the poor with your prayers and donations.
